Pumpkins, Fire, and Local Brews

Hello everybody!

This weekend was a whirlwind, but relaxing and fun. On Saturday afternoon I went to a lovely bridal shower and then afterward went with my mom to a local place and bought pumpkins. I love to decorate my classroom with them and this year I think we'll also do some pumpkin investigations!

I spent the evening with Corey's family for his mom's annual Fall family gathering. She always makes the best food and we have a fire and watch the kids play games and paint pumpkins. I love it!

As it was 80 degrees on Friday, it wouldn't be Ohio without being drastically different the next day. So of course it was a cool, crisp 45 degrees. I didn't mind it though because the rain held off and sitting outside by the fire eating warm chili and hot apple cider with people I love was fantastic.

After leaving the family party I headed downtown to celebrate my friend Kelly's birthday at a local brewery, Warped Wing.

I'll be honest and say that the beer didn't wow me. The venue however has a very cool vibe. I was impressed by their can packaging and I always applaud local business. I would love to go back for a brewery tour. Can't beat a tour, flight of beer, and complimentary pint glass for $10!

After a couple drinks we went right down the street to Toxic Brew Company which I absolutely loved. I didn't take any pictures there but I will definitely be going back! The atmosphere was cozy and fun, they had great music, and a wide variety of brews.

I don't get out very often these days, but I'm glad I had the chance to spend time with people I adore this weekend.

What did you get up to this weekend?
