I equate loving it so much to 2 things. First, I had the greatest background knowledge about Paris and the language more than any other city. Second, we had two and a half days there which is the longest we stayed in any one place other than Greece. I definitely made the most of my time in Paris and saw many more landmarks and museums than compared to other cities.
On the evening of Day 2 we didn't have anything planned as a group. After resting upon returning to the hotel from Versailles, I set out just before sunset to spend some time alone--just me and the city.
I wanted to capture sunset and evening shots of iconic places around the city so I took my own personal tour from the hotel, across the Seine, past the Louvre, through the Tuileries Gardens, and straight down to a setting sun behind the Eiffel Tower.
Go on, take a picture walk with me through the most beautiful city in the world.
Paris, you are a beautiful city that has stolen my heart! With love literally on every corner--the love locks on bridges, affectionate couples lip-locked in the streets, groups of friends laughing over a bottle of wine--it's impossible not to walk down the street and smile with a full heart.
Wandering the streets, taking in the sunset behind the Eiffel Tower, all capped off by an evening ride on the metro made me feel like maybe, just maybe I could be la Parisienne too!
