From Dayton to Heathrow--Starbucks is My Saving Grace

2 flights and 12 hours later I've made it to London! Having never traveled to Europe before (aside from my brief military encounter with Germany as a baby) I'm completely fascinated and I haven't even "toured" anywhere yet.

I forgot to eat before my first flight out of Ohio so I grabbed coffee and a fruit cup from Starbucks. Since it was not very filling, during my layover in Chicago I then grabbed a chickpea salad from Starbucks which was actually pretty good.

Not quite $6 good, but giftcards to the rescue!

It wasn't long after that we were boarding for Heathrow. Lucky me, I did not get stuck in the middle on an 8 hour flight Our initial ascension had a lot of turbulence but the rest was pretty smooth. Regardless, I get terrible motion sickness--car, boat, plane--it doesn't matter, so my 8 hours were pretty uncomfortable.

The jet lag is catching up to me and I'm still pretty queasy from the long flight. I'm currently sitting in a Starbucks sipping on an Americano and using the free wifi looking for somewhere to refuel. I'll take it easy for the rest of the day and wander through Hyde Park and Kensington Gardens. I've got to be ready for meeting everyone on our pub crawl tonight!

I promise I'll return later this week with a more European update.
