Actually it's after 11 but I'm still drinking my coffee and hey, it's technically still not yet noon.
This weekend my mom's cousin and her kids are visiting from Chicaahgo. We've got some fun things on the agenda despite an unseasonal chill that has come to visit the midwest.
I got my breakfast on with some homemade (thanks, mama!) waffles with bacon and a side of fresh fruit salad. Oh--and a mimosa! Any excuse to have champagne for breakfast is good with me.
Franklin wishes he could get in on some of that bacon action!
Now I'm just sitting and admiring the new bits of organization in my bedroom. I'm horrible at staying organized but maybe these pretty pieces will keep me in check?
Upcycled candle jar for my makeup brushes--yes, I know they need to be cleaned!
I've been washing my face with coconut oil and my mom bought me this cute jar for storing.
My bedside table necessities--notebooks and my ipad.
And I finally weeded through my necklaces, got rid of a few, and reorganized my hanging rack.
Next up--clothes. Must. Get. Rid. Of. Clothes.
I don't spend frivolously on clothing, but I keep and wear everything I have for a looong time. Basically until it is completely worn and falling apart. Even when I buy new things it's hard for me to part with old clothes. I am also the person who looks through my closet at things that have never been worn or haven't been worn in a year and decides to keep it just in case.
I need to be more organized in my life starting with my personal space and the first step to that is to simplify. Nobody needs stuff. By simplifying my belongings and clothes I think it will be a lot easier for me to stay organized and stress free.
I'm going to use this handy dandy chart that a friend on Facebook posted. If you're looking to spring clean your wardrobe it might be a useful tool!
Happy Saturday, friends!
