Straight No Chaser

Last night I gave my mom an early Christmas present--a night on the town in Cincinnati to see Straight No Chaser!

The 10 man a cappella group founded at Indiana University is best known for their 12 Days of Christmas. My mom and I found out they were coming to Dayton a few months ago and were so excited only to be quickly disappointed--sold out.

Leaving it at a, "maybe next year", I forgot about SNC until I had the brilliant idea to check other major Ohio cities. Surely enough they would be in Cincinnati close to Christmas. The perfect gift, I kept it a secret and purchased tickets for my mom and invited my sister along for a girls night.

Having to come home straight from work my mom and I quickly changed into something more fitting for the theater. My model sister was already glammed and ready to go! She's a beauty, that one.

Cincy traffic is killer and even though we left 3 hours before showtime, we only managed a quick bite at Panera before heading over to the Aronoff Center.

Once inside we climbed to the balcony and settled down into our seats. The Aronoff center is a beautiful place!

Straight No Chaser was everything I expected and more. The guys are extremely funny, highly entertaining and of course--sing with voices of gold!

What I love about them even more is that they are so humble and they absolutely LOVE and appreciate their fans. They stayed after the show and signed autographs after the show which my mom graciously let us wait in line for!
The girl on the end is Carolyn Glaser, a contestant from The Voice season 4 who opened for SNC and just released her first EP. She was fabulous.

There men of SNC were so kind and still in good spirits after performing a 2 hour concert and sitting a sweltering hot room signing autographs for another hour. And there were perks to being at the end of the line...

Meeting them was awesome; they were so funny! (I look awkward--while going down the line for autographs I didn't know what to say or do except for staring and the occasional, "you guys are awesome"--I need to work on my "meeting awesome people skills")

I highly recommend seeing Straight No Chaser live. You will not be disappointed!

Hanging out with my mom and sister is always a good time. Christmas part one--success! Love you mom!

Have you ever seen Straight No Chaser live?

What's your favorite Straight No Chaser song?  (12 Days of Christmas is a given--their movie medley is hilarious!)
