The popular children's book character, David, is a big hit in my room and he's perfect for helping to explain school rules. I found this adorable activity through Pinterest and each student made their version of David and wrote the school rules they thought were the most important. The one pictured above says, "In first grade I lisin to dreksh I dont tuch uthrs" translation = "In first grade I listen to directions. I don't touch others." :) I love them all so much already!
This weekend I took some time to rest and spend time with Corey. Last night we went to the Darke County fair where we ate our weight in fair food and day-dreamed of luxurious houses while walking through booths of RV's, custom made stone patios, and high tech hot tubs.
I had a Chicago style hot dog--one of my mom's favorites. She has always made them sound so good.
Corey had ribs with an incredible dry rub and some pulled pork nachos.
There were so many sweet treats to choose from which made decision making for dessert, hard.
I went with a classic though and had some delicious funnel cake which I ended up not being able to finish.
We had so much fun looking at all of the different vendors and stuffing our bellies! Another successful trip to the fair!
