Cinncinati Beer Run {Giveaway!}

Back in May my friends Liz, Kristen, Andy, and I ran my favorite race to date, the Cincinnati Beer Run. Lucky for us they are back in town this September--Friday the 27th to be exact. There are 3 waves with walkers starting at 7:45 pm and runner's at 8:10 and 8:25 pm.

The race is set to begin and end at Newport's Oktoberfest just over the bridge to Kentucky. The last race was early in the morning, but I'm looking forward to this race because it is in the evening and I can't wait to also experience Oktoberfest with it. What better way to end 2.5 miles of beer sampling than with a party...and more beer?!

One unique quality that makes the Cincinnati Beer Run stand out above other beer races is that they offer a variety of craft beers. I'm okay with drinking Miller or Bud Light on occasion, but I can buy that anywhere. Last race we were offered, Goose Island 312, Wood Chuck, Shock Top Lemon Shandy, and Wiedemann's.
This time around there will be a new selection of craft beers and even a local brew or two! The idea of being able to try something new or unique is a good use of my registration dollars. The Cincy Beer swag is also a pretty cool perk!

There are beer stops every .5 mile, totaling 4 different samples. At the end of the race you will be able to choose 1 of the 4 beers that you sampled and it will be served to you in a 16 oz souvenir glass. Oh yeah, did I mention that you also get a t-shirt, too?

My friends and I had the best time and decided before the day was even over that we would have to make the Cincinnati Beer Run a tradition. The race is well organized, the beer is fantastic, and you get a lot with your experience, for such a great price. Let's recap shall we?
