Graduation Season

This past weekend was spent traveling to Michigan yet again, this time to celebrate my cousin Shelby's high school graduation.
As I've mentioned before, traveling to see family is always so fun for me. Growing up in the military, we have almost always lived in a state different from my extended family members. The novelty of packing up the car as kids, usually around the holidays, and excitedly driving away to visit grandparents, cousins, aunts, and uncles that I hadn't seen in months is a comforting childhood memory. So I guess you can say the novelty hasn't worn much over the years--I still love that feeling of hopping in the car to go visit family!

The day of Shelby's graduation party was filled with lots of cousin play time, good bbq food, and even more sweets! My favorite part might have been the candy bar my aunt created. It was so fun and I could tell people really enjoyed it.
After running around snapping pictures before a lot of other guests arrived, I sat down to some dee-licious BBQ food!
The rest of the time was spent lounging around enjoying the precious company!

Have a great week everyone!
