That's natalie and her adorable puppy, Penny!
Penny was surprisingly so tiny but of course still sporting that French Bulldog pudge. She had so much energy and a lot of my trip was dedicated to playing with her cute self.
Soon after I arrived we headed out for some lunch. We went to a popular casual lunch spot called Northstar Café which was new to me.
We split the self-named Northstar Burger which was a patty made of organic brown rice, black beans, and beets topped with white cheddar, lettuce, tomato, pickle, and onion. To say it was good is an understatement! I was so amazed at just how delicious this meatless burger was!
We finished off lunch with a trip to the famous Jeni's for ice cream. The Columbus based business operates 9 shops in Ohio, 1 in Tennessee, and ships ice cream to stores across the nation. You can even order it online and have it shipped to your home!
Jeni's is best known for their incredibly creative flavors such as Queen City Cayenne, Wildberry Lavender, and Riesling Poached Pear Sorbet. We both had Brambleberry Crisp and Brown Butter Almond Brittle and I was in ice cream heaven! I'm already scoping out what flavors to try next!
Full of good eats, we headed to a nearby mall so Natalie could search for some new work clothes. We decided that being a professional is just too expensive, but did make out with a couple good finds at H&M. I don't have one very close to me, so I jumped at the chance to buy this sweater for Fall.
I rounded out my trip with a little more Penny play time and catching up with my roomie. I love time spent with friends so dear the relationship is almost effortless. Just call us kindred spirits--Natalie and I of course, not Penny :)
