Another Cousin Wedding
2 weekends ago my beautiful cousin Courtney got married on the most perfect of sunny days. It was a quick trip to Michigan but a blast as always to see family and celebrate with Courtney and Dustin. Maybe it's the teacher in me, but dancing the night away with the littles was probably my favorite part!
Last Thursday was our teacher work day and I am officially on Summer vacation! Holla! Though I have plans to work a couple days a week for summer programs through our district, I'm looking forward to a pretty wide open schedule of nothing!

|Last Day of School|
You heard right! Summer is that much sweeter because it's the first time I haven't been frantically job searching, wondering what the Fall will hold in store for me. If you didn't know before, I was a Title 1 teacher this year which means I was on a limited, non-renewable contract. AKA, I lost my job at the end of this school year. However, I am extremely blessed and thankful to have accepted a position in my same building as a new 1st grade teacher! I am BEYOND excited. This position was my ultimate best case scenario and I might be the only teacher who won't mind a bit when August comes a little too quickly!
Plenty of Friend Time
This past weekend I had a lot of fun visiting with friends in Cincinnati for Liz's birthday. Same-ish crowd from the Beer Run Weekend. It involved plenty of good drinks and Red's baseball. I have a feeling I'll be hanging out there plenty this summer! :)
I can't write on this Memorial Day without thanking those in the armed forces who have paid the ultimate sacrifice for our freedoms. Please remember those men and women and their families today. Don't take for granted what people lay their own life on the line for every day. Enjoy any time you may be spending with friends and family today!
