I've been saving up for a new camera for awhile now. In part because I am planning a trip to Europe next spring and wanted something nice to document my trip and also because I've had my Canon Powershot point and shoot since sophomore or junior year of high school. Believe me when I say, it was time to upgrade!
After a little research based on my needs and budget, I purchased the Canon EOS M with the 22mm lens and I'm already itching to buy the 18-55mm lens to go with it.
I was looking to transition from a point and shoot to a DSLR camera in a simple way. (I'm not trying to be a professional photographer or anything here. No thank you, $1500 camera.) However, I do enjoy photography as a hobby and get frustrated when I miss good photo opportunities because I lack the proper tools.
I've been playing around with it ever since I got home from work and I'm already in love. The auto focus is a little slow and will take some getting used to. I definitely have a lot to learn, but so far it has turned out to be a great buy.
Here are a few shots I took while trying to get the hang of this thing today! Oh, and I hope you like Yorkie's because Franklin was my subject!
