I have a couple of weddings that I am attending over the next few weeks, so yesterday I did some shopping for cute, summery dresses. Boy did I score! Initially I headed over to Old Navy because I saw some adorable dresses online and had a 20% off coupon, but that was a bust. This particular Old Navy's dress section was nada! In between seasons maybe? I did however fall in love with this maxi dress in the clearance section!
I ended up not buying it because I had other things in mind for the weddings, buuuuut...I might go back! If it's still there later this week then it must be 'meant to be'! I did manage to pick up a couple pair of shorts that were on sale.
After moseying in and out of the usual stores, I made my last stop at Forever 21. I've mentioned before that--you get what you pay for at Forever. But, I love it for the accessories and from time to time find a piece of clothing I can't live without. Today Forever 21 was the jackpot!
I found 2 dresses for my upcoming weddings AND an uh-dorable skirt that is perfect for teaching! If you could describe me in the form of a skirt, it would be this one. You'll see my outfits soon enough, but here's a sneak peak at the goods!
Funny, all 3 of my dressy items are pleated! Who knew I was so into pleats??
Afer purchasing my great finds, my day was totally made by the jazz band playing in the center of the (outdoor) mall. Why you ask?
- I love Jazz
- I saw my high school band director!
Hands down one of my favorite teachers and influential to the person I am today. Music since late elementary school has always been a major part of my life, high school carrying the majority of that. Oh, nostalgia!
He's in the middle of the back row playing trumpet. It was so great getting to talk to him. I love moments that bring you back and just make you smile, don't you?
I start as a nanny today for a family (3 kids--2 on the way!) until school starts so I'm off to work. Wish me luck! Here's to a great week!
What's your weakness when it comes to shopping?
