At Home Seafood Dinner

We weren't a big seafood family growing up so I've mostly only had seafood at restaurants, but Corey and I have been feeling pretty ambitious in cooking seafood.

At a later date, we want to try cooking live lobsters, mussels, and shrimp. For now we took the easy way out better way and went with some not so difficult items.

On the menu this time around were some bourbon seasoned salmon filets, pre-cooked shrimp, and sushi. Ok, ok--so we didn't have to do a whole lot but it was tasty just the same!
I took care of seasoning the shrimp and heating it through with some oil and butter in a skillet. Next I melted more butter for sauce and added fresh garlic and seasoning {hard work--I know}.

Corey took care of grilling up our filets just right!  This meal was minimal effort but oh so tasty. I know my belly was happy!

Next up--bigger adventures of preparing and cooking lobster and mussels. Giada from the food network has a simple but amazing recipe for mussels that I really want to try.

Bon appétit!
