A Few Things...

The Name of This Ice Cream is Misleading
I wasn't in the mood for heavy ice cream (I know what you're thinking--then why did you get Ben & Jerry's), and just when I was ready to give up the name, Greek Frozen Yogurt: Blueberry Vanilla Graham, caught my eye. Let me just tell you TOTAL disappointment ☹ It's thick and creamy--not how I pictured frozen greek yogurt at all, and tasted like blueberry cheesecake flavor more than anything. I don't think I'll be trying anymore of these.

Starbucks Wants You to Show Your Teachers Some Love
With the end of the school year approaching not fast enough quickly (6 weeks for me!), teachers and students are getting ready to part ways. Starbucks is encouraging people to show their teachers a little love and appreciation for another great school year. Just seeing this cutie gift card makes me feel loved. It's awesome to see companies and people appreciate their teachers!

Trying Out the Local Fare
I'm a sucker for small bistros and sandwich shops ( Kona Bistro, I miss you!) and was super excited to try this local place, Bema J's Bistro.  Corey and I went for dinner, which was okay. I had their soup of the day, Lobster Bisque, and a caesar salad w/grilled chicken and homemade caesar dressing.

They made all of their sauces and dressing in house, which was awesome! I would like to go back and try some of their sandwiches from the lunch menu.

Safe Workouts
This sounds like common sense--and it is--but ya know how little life reminders can make you realize just how important something so simple is?? (Am I making sense??) For example, I've had my Nike's I workout in for about 1.5 years. They are Nike Air Max style, and have recently worn through the side on the bottom soles exposing the "air bubble" in the heel of the shoe.
Because of this, they kind of deflate when a lot of pressure is applied making running a dangerous deal. I realized my shoes were a problem the day after a HIIT workout on the treadmill. My butt was SORE...but only on one side, and I hadn't done anything out of the norm during my workout. After thinking about what could have cause the soreness, I realized the unevenness and lack of support from my shoes were the culprit. Like I said before--simple, common sense to make sure you're working out safely, but it's amazing how the wear and tear of shoes can really affect a proper workout. Needless to say I'm on the hunt for new shoes but am having a terrible time finding some I like. Decisions, decisions...
